Update on Life

I'm going to try and write a post that's not a giant metaphor.

Life is good and school is good and I'm happy to go to work every day and I'm happy to come home every day and that's good. I get home and I hate home and I go and do work to distract myself and then I can't switch off from work and then I'm up at midnight crying uncontrollable and laughing hysterically simultaneously and I know that something is wrong but I don't know what it is.

And then the holidays come and I get a break and I colour in and then I injure my wrist and I can't write for a week and this is why I can't have nice things. I go and look at houses and talk to important financial people and plan for a life where I don't have to avoid home or eat dinner at 8:30 or do the things I don't want to do. That life is so close I can taste it. It tastes like food I've chosen. Like a high vegetable to meat ratio.

So I feel guilty for every dollar I spend that puts the Happy Life off by another 2.4 seconds. I feel guilty when I buy a nice dress to wear to my awards ceremony at uni or a $4 lipstick or the tank of petrol I need to drive a friend home. And then I make lists and budgets and spreadsheets and I track every cent and I classify everything in my crazy categories and I keep my job at Coles to justify buying my membership with the dragons. And the lists work. The budget eases the guilt. My whole life is easing guilt.

But I need a hobby that can keep me sufficiently distracted from work that I only question my mental health every other day. The only problem is that I don't like doing anything and I never have. I have never held a hobby for longer than about twelve months. And all the suggestions I get are impractical or unappealing. No thank you I don't want to participate in a team sport the only thing worse than sport is teams. Sorry I don't have any land but I would love to start a veggie patch. No I can't do anything involving writing or colouring or even using a computer to be honest because the pain in my wrist is always unbearable.

I don't really know what I'm doing with my life but at least I have a vague direction and I'm getting all the career opportunities I want and I can afford to buy my own home which is becoming increasingly rare in my generation so I'm not here to complain. This is just what my life is now. This is what I've worked for unwavering for as many years as I can remember. This is why I studied and worked instead of every going anywhere or seeing anyone. It's nearly time for me to set some new goals. How exciting.

Stresses, and things

So stresses, and things.
Because there are days when you get in your car and drive down the driveway and there is water falling from your face and you don't know why.
Or maybe you do know why on some deep level but you can't reach that level because there's all this stuff in the way.
And you've been telling yourself for so long that you're happy, you've been happy for so long.
And exams aren't stressful, are they Ebony? And you enjoy them. And you can't wait for that moment of relief as you walk into the exam room and you can almost convince yourself that that moment can come a week early.

And I don't know if that's it, I don't know if that's the reason why I feel like this.
Once my exams are over will I still feel like this?
Or will I be happy again?
Is that what happy is? Is that what happy does?

I don't know what I'm doing, why am I up all night looking at stupid random crap on the internet and not caring about... things? What is so amazing about my neopets?

I'm procrastinating like my holidays have come early and then freaking out about my exams but then every time I go to study, I know all the things... So I feel like I don't have to study?

And I don't know. I feel weird and crappy and stressy and I do this to myself all the time.
I like stress, stress makes me work.
Until the point where I can't any more.
And I don't see the point coming.
And I think I can keep going on like this forever.
Living for the future instead of for now.
Is that what I'm doing?
Sometimes it feels like it.
Living for after exams, or after uni, or after... something.

And I promised myself I wouldn't do that anymore.
I promised I would live in the now.
But there's so many things in the now.
And all I want is hot chocolate and a warm bed and some freaking neopets.
IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK?

I just want to be happy.

My holiday

I wrote this 10 days ago and for some reason it didn't post. Ohh well, posting now

---

This is going to be an unusually mushy blog. Bare with it, it doesn't happen very often.

The best part of building a sandcastle with you is that you don't just put up with me. I once said that the perfect man would be able to deal with my perfectionism in building sandcastles. Which I suppose means that you are beyond perfect. Because you were more anal than I was about the slant of the castle wall, and the width of the moat. In fact, you cared so much about my castle, that you built me a wall. A wall so beautiful and big, it could withstand any wave. A wall that protected my castle in the same way you protect me, by wrapping itself around it.

The second best part of building a sandcastle with you is that when it is finished, you walk into the water, holding my hand. You will only go so far that oncoming waves just touch your knees, and no further. Which I take as excuse to throw wet sand at you, and you take as an excuse to throw it back. So we have a sand fight and I run further into the ocean to persuade you to join me; to go further than knee deep.

The third best part of building a sandcastle with you is that you are always full of surprises. So when I take those few steps further, expecting you to be too stubborn to get even your legs wet, you dive straight into the ocean. And I follow gradually, too scared to get wet too quickly as the water is far too cold. And you tell me to grow some balls and I remind you that they are not anatomically necessary for me. And you laugh and I smile and you smile and you kiss me. And I kiss you back.

The fourth best part of building a sandcastle with you is that once we've finished swimming and we're ready to go home, we jump on our castle. So some other little kids don't come and do it when we leave. And then we walk up the never ending sand holding hand whinging about the pain of walking on sand.

And now I'm back at home, without you. Without you hugs, your warm chest, the way you hold me when you play games. Without your smell, your eyes, the cute look you have when you blow me kisses.

Please never stop chasing me into the ocean, I don't ever want to stop chasing you.

Ebony's holiday

Ok, so this is a completely optional blog post (as opposed to the others, which I make you read) because it is basically just an account of my holiday, and it’s here for me, not you. Because my blog has rendered my previous journal redundant, and this is the kind of thing I used to put in a journal. (This is my way of saying that unless you particularly like stalking me, this will be insanely boring, so leave. Now.)

Day One
Ok, so today we made the voyage down to Merry Beach, which I have to say, is in the middle of nowhere (I mean seriously, it’s a 10 minute drive to phone reception, but more about that later). For the first year ever, my sister, my mum and I all shared the driving, and we played musical chairs around the car. Because mum had to be the passenger when I drove, Nikki said she got it when mum was driving, so I decided that I got it whilst Nikki was driving, and we could basically all move around the car, and put on/take off L/P plates as we went, and changing drivers took only a matter of seconds.
So I drove from home to Albion Park, which took a total of one hour and thirty five minutes, and involved annoying a number of other drivers who wanted to overtake me but couldn’t because there was no overtaking lane for most of the trip. Such is life. Then we stopped at Maccas for lunch and made ourselves feel gross for eating food that contained more oil and sugar than actual substance. Nikki also bought some magnetic Ps (because she moved the ones from mum’s car to her car and forgot to take them back for the trip) and we filled up with petrol. Then mum drove to Ulladulla, and then Nikki drove to Merry Beach
When we got here, the first thing I realised is that we have no phone reception. I mean, I’d been steadily monitoring it since we left Ulladulla, and it had cut out a few times, and then suddenly it just died, which was a little inconvenient. So after walking around the whole house for 10 minutes looking for reception, I gave up, and decided to unpack.
The house we have is pretty cool, downstairs it has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a laundry that has to be accessed through the bathroom, so I’m expecting that to be a little awkward turtle. Upstairs is the kitchen, dining and living area, with a huge balcony that, if you squint enough, you can see the beach from. there are 32 chairs here, so we can invite over 29 friends if we suddenly feel like socialising, which is improbable, but it’s nice to have the opportunity.
After unpacking, we went to the beach, then visited friends we’re staying here with, and then went back to the beach. I built three sandcastles and they all had tunnels joining them to each other. It was also able to deal with pretty big waves hitting it, due to the trenches and stuff I built in front of it. However, by the time I’d walked down the beach and back (voluntary exercise? ew), the tunnels had collapsed.
Mum agreed to take me to the land of reception every day that we’re here, because seriously, I have survived a week without seeing my boyfriend who planned a very inconvenient holiday, but a week without talking to him is something I am probably incapable of doing. So we drove down the highway to the first place I had reception, and I got to talk to him whilst sitting on the side of the road for 16 minutes. =)
After I got back in the car, I was informed that I would be cooking dinner, although Nikki and mum hadn’t figured out what it would be yet. We originally thought of spaghetti, but we forgot to bring pasta with us, then we thought of bacon and eggs, but we left we the eggs in the fridge because we didn’t put them on the right list, then we thought of stir fry, but I am completely incapable of using an electric stove top because I tend to burn things, and then Nikki said she wasn’t hungry either, so we decided on two minute noodles.
Of all the food options we had considered, I’m sure two minute noodles was the easiest to make, but I still somehow managed to stuff it up, not only by having noodles go everywhere, but also because I lost one of the favour sachets, which eventually turned up in the microwave, which I’m guessing wasn’t the best place for it. But whatever, we ate, and talked a lot, and then mum decided to go to bed, and Nikki sprayed fly spray all over her room and had to evacuate for half an hour, and all in all, it was a good night.
(I’m guessing this much stuff won’t happen again tomorrow, but if it does, I apologise for making you read what I think may turn out to be a long and tiresome blog post [on second thoughts, I remember saying that I wasn’t going to make you read this one, it was optional, so really, you only have yourself to blame])

Day Two
Upn waking up, we realised that the weather outside was completely miserable, so we drove to Ulladulla to steal Wifi from Maccas so Nikki could enrol in her uni course online. Nikki and mum both had reception in Ulladulla, but I didn’t because my new phone doesn’t like me (or some other, more logical reason). Mum had her lights on as we were driving over because it was a little foggy, and, because she forgot to turn them off, the car battery was flat when we tried to leave. So Nikki and I walked across the road to a car repair shop and asked if they had a battery pack to jump start it, and they did, and came over and did it for us.
After that, we figured we should take the car for a little drive to charge the batteries, so we just wandered around aimlessly until we stumbled upon a lolly shop, that we simply had to visit. after that, we went to coles, where we saw someone that looked like a cross between John Green and a guy at work, and then came back to the house where I played Bejewelled for about an hour. Then I decided it was probably time to do some homework so I started reading As You Like It.
After reading that for a while, nikki and I went over to the beach for a while, and then came home so I could cook dinner (and because the water was still freezing). We sat around talking for a bit, and then went to bed.

Day Three
I woke up at 9, but Nikki and mum didn’t get up until midday, so I was playing Bejewelled and reading Snow Falling on the Cedars. After they got up, we had bacon and eggs, and then went for a walk to reception land, which found at the top of a hill. I managed to send about 5 texts before we came down the hill again. When we got home, Nikki and I went to the beach again, but it was even colder, and there were blue bottles everywhere, so after walking along the beach for a bit, we came back home and watched tv with mum until she decided to cook dinner, and I went back to reading As You Like It. After being distracted by NCIS:LA I gave up on doing homework, although I assure you I’d made some great progress. So I watched tv for a few hours, and eventually went to bed. As I get less and less inspired on this holiday, my posts are going to get shorter and shorter. This will be no great loss.

Day Four
Today was promised to be a nicer day than the last two, and I even had a dream that it was a beautiful day, however, when I woke up, this was not the case. I had a cup of coffee on the balcony with mum, and had a shower, before she decided to make pancakes for breakfast. After that I played Bejewelled on Nikki and mum’s laptops whilst they both showered. Then we went to the shops to buy a few things. When we got back, I played Bejewelled a bit more (by this stage, I didn’t suck anymore [yeah, it took that long to stop sucking). Nikki and I decided to go for a walk to Reception Hill, where we called dad, and then visited the friends we came with at their campsite
(yes, we are friends with people stupid enough to actually camp). Steph came back to our house, and we ate lunch and did some puzzles in a puzzle book we have that has a very bad dot to dot in it. Eventually she went home and we turned on the tv to watch the news (this is the kind of stuff we only do when we have no foxtel) and then a bunch of other stuff including Oprah, and then we all went to bed

Day Five
I woke up early to go to reception to hill to find out if Paul got into unsw. I walked over to camp so Steph and I could go to the hill together. They ate a bit and then we walked up and I got the good news =) (now he can come see Tim Minchin with me). When we got back it was just another cloudy day, and we were completely over it. Mum said she was feeling pretty sick, so we decided to drvie to Bateman’s Bay to find a doctor and get me some Internet to get the last act of As You Like It, once we’d decided this, the sun came out. But we went anyway, and we bought her some medicine and had lunch and got back at around 5 when Nikki and I decided to hit the beach (which was warmer than it had previously been) and we found an amazing sandcastle and now I really want to find out who built it. We walked to the campsite on our way home, and found that everyone else had been sunburnt or tanned that day and I was very jealous because I am really too white. When we got home no one felt like cooking so we had leftovers for dinner, and watched the news again, and then other stuff on tv. Nikki and mum decided to play on their laptops and I fell asleep on the lounge.

Day Six
I woke up fairly early because there was actually sunlight outside my window for the first time all week. I played on mum’s laptop until she and Nikki woke up, I had a shower and breakfast, and Nikki and I headed to the beach. We took a bucket, and made a very cool sandcastle, then went for a little swim and finally had a very poor attempt at tanning (because we’re both terrified of sunburn and didn’t want to stay out too long). When we got back we walked up to reception hill for about 45 minutes, and then went for a swim with mum in the pool at the caravan park next to us. After that we sat around for a little bit before having dinner and watching the 7pm project (apparently being on holidays has made me give a little more of a shit about the rest of the world). Then I went to my room whilst Nikki and mum watched Ghost Whisperer (it’s scary, ok?) and I played Bejewelled, and wrote some random stuff. Then watched more tv and went to bed

Day Seven
Woke up early again and hit the beach with Nikki. Helped our friends build an enormous sandcastle, tried to tan some more. Friends from Sydney came down to visit us, and we sat around talking to them for a while, then trekked up to reception hill for the last hill. When we got back, we went tanning again, and then went to camp to talk to our friends for the last time on holidays. When we returned home we had dinner, and played Trivial Pursuit (we won =D) and went to bed pretty late.

Day Eight
I’m writing this now, because I was too lazy to write it earlier. Mum and I woke up at 8, had showers and packed the car. Nikki woke up eventually and helped clean up stuff inside. We set off at 10 and stopped via IGA for me to get phone credit, then started the journey home. Nikki drove first, then me, and then we stopped at Kiama to visit my great-aunty which was nice. Mum drove home from there and we listened to 70s music the whole time. It was nice to be home again. =)

I hate me without you

Okay, so today we're heading off for a week long holiday down to Merry Beach which is a cool name because it sounds like even the beach wants me to be happy. Although, you know, obviously it doesn't, because it's a beach, and if the people in my life don't want me to be happy, I'm pretty sure a beach won't either.

I want to be the kind of person that wants to go on a holiday with my family. I want to be the kind of person who can enjoy myself in the company of my mum without feeling like I need to talk to someone else to actually bring me some happiness.
I feel so lonely sometimes.

Anyway, I basically just wanted you to know that I am going. Today. And coming back in a week. And I will miss you. I think I'll miss me too.

Ok, well, I'm off to put my life together =)
Be good, and don't talk to strangers unless they offer you candy or a ride.

Love/hate relationship with humanity

I think I've broken my body clock.
You see, I keep staying up until like 2 or 3 am, and then I sleep in for forever.
It's the weird combination of school holidays and daylight saving.
And it means that I end up having lunch at like 4 or 5, which is so ridiculous :L.

So, anyways, today has been a largely uneventful day. In fact, I'm having a rather uneventful week. But I did one of the speeches from the yellow book of torture, which is really productive, given my track record this holidays. And I helped Dad take stuff to the tip in the only car we have with a towbar, which also happens to be the only car we have where the driver's door doesn't open. So yeah, it was really funny. And I rewatched the game from yesterday (moments like this only come around every 31 years, you know).

I know I've been blogging a lot lately (I'm sorry you can't handle it Corinne =L), but that's just because I seriously have an infinite amount of spare time, and I miss blogging, I used to really enjoy it. So yeah, here I am, spiling my guts to about 2 people :L. Actually, more people read this than I actually thought, it might even be 5 people =O!

Interesting fact: The most blogs I've posted in one month this year is 15, which is like, the minimum of last year. Which means, basically, that I'm not blogging enough lately which is so very diappointing (especially for you, I'm sure).

Oh, and my sister and I are probably going to go and see Tim Minchin at the Sydney Opera House next March (he has concerts on 24th, 25th and 26th), so if you want to come (and you're not going to university in another state next year), let me know :L.

And JUST IN CASE I haven't linked you to enough videos of his over the past, however long I've loved him, GO AND WATCH Some People Have It Worse Than I (if you don't mind swearing :L) or Prejudice

Lyrics from Some people have it worse than I:
At 11:53 I instigate the day’s ablutions in the hope my constitution can be altered by some action on the bowl
But the total non-existence of colonic animation seems to me the perfect metaphor for the utter constipation of my soul
By 11:59 I have decided that my life would be immediately improved by a carefully written list of short-term goals
But by 12.05 my list consists of 1-dot put some pants on, 2-dot go to the shop, buy some prunes and Panadol

Lyrics from Prejudice:
And you know my kids will always be clothed and fed
'Cause Papa's gonna be bringing home the gingerbread
And they'll be pretty smart because they'll be well-read
And by "read" I mean "read" and the other kind of "red"
It's a homophone!!

Oh yeah, and some bastard stole one of my L plates, and some other bastard backed into my car (when it was parked at Dad's work, totally not my fault) and smashed the blinker (although it still works, it's not orange anymore). So yeah, I hate people. =S

Candy Floss

Ok, so, in celebration of Charlie McDonnell's 20th birthday, I have spent the entire day watching his videos, and videos at fiveawesomeguys, and videos of his flatmate Alex. And generally being addicted to youtube in an incredibly unhealthy way. I don't think I've gotten up for anything other than food and personal hygiene in quite a few hours.

Anyways, so yeah, there is a beautiful, incredible song from Alex Day's album Parrot Stories (which you can listen for free here) called Candy Floss. And the lyrics are simply beautiful, so I will be posting them at the bottom of this post.

---

So yes, whilst I have not moved from this position in a long time, I have had a lot of thinking time. Also, last night, laying in bed and stuff, I've found it to be an impossible task to fall asleep. And that's because i can't get my stupid mind to just shut up. I mean, I've had voices in my head in the past, but just these last few days... I dunno, I think they're getting louder.
Unless of course I'm getting a conscience of something stupid like that, and then it would all make so much more sense.

But what have I had to think about?
Well, nothing, really, so, I've just had some random thoughts spiralling around in my head, which is utterly confusing and annoying.

---

I think I imagine you reading that and saying something very Jack Blackesque in the Holiday when he gets off the phone from Maggie in the restaurant. And perhaps you would have that disgusted look on your face, because maybe, that's what you think now when you think of me. Is it? Have I become that person in your life that you never want to speak to again?

---

Have a good holiday sunshines!

We ran through the rain together
You said I looked nice, I said you looked pretty
You held my hand, you pulled me close
And whispered “take me home”

We turned around as fast as we could
And jumped on the very next train
I said “I love you more than life”
You said “I feel the same”

And we talked about nothing forever
You spoke to the walls, they told you a story
The world spun underneath our feet
As we shut our exhausted eyes

We wrote our names in a heart on the sand
And saw the sea wash it away
I said “I want you in my life”
She said “okay”

She was gonna go, but I said “no, I don’t think so”
She looked at me, she smiled at me
And now I’ll tell you what she said:

“Do you like candy floss?”
I said “yeah, it’s alright”
She said “take me to a fun fair and we’ll eat candy floss tonight”

And we spun on the teacups
Round and round and round until we felt dizzy
You asked me to win you a bear
And said it was fine when I failed
(And we all know those things are rigged anyway.)

You and me, spinning through the trees ’till our faces were blue
I’ll always be that little boy sharing candy floss with you
I miss you

Wasting away

I am currently undergoing a slight amount of inner turmoil.
And when I say slight, I mean it. It's not like there's anything major happening in my life. I mean, if anything, I have far too much spare time, and am spending my days wasting away on my computer. But that's okay, I haven't wasted my life in a while, and it's a nice break.

My holiday to do list:
* Buy clothes. As in, clothes that fit. =)
* Bake cookies.
* Swap my Sunday shift at work so I don't miss the grand final =S
* Rent some chick flicks to watch with Hunaiza on thurday
* Organise a time to get our group (those of us not in Japan) together
* Play neopets =)
* Blog more often. I miss this thing, haha.
* Buy some more fish =)
* Do the English speeches booklet thing.

Yeah, that's about it. Oh, and of course, vlogstalk charlie and alex. But you know, that's not going on the list because "stalk" makes it look wrong.

So, yeah, whilst I play neopets to get over my innerturmoil, I hope you guys have a brilliant holiday, and I shall blog again soon =)

Catch upp

So, yeah, long time no talky.
What has happened with you Ebony?

Well...

*I did my english assessment and only got 35 minutes for it... because, well, teachers are stupid, and Ms Schultz says I can appeal and blah blah but who can be bothered?
*My enter key is broken, it gets stuck heaps, and I just backspaced stacks of lines
*My whole class pretty much feels crappy about physics considering even the top score in our class for the research task was pretty crap, and the rest are worse.
*I realised I have 4 classes with Richard. Yes, it took me 10 weeks to figure it out.
*I am pretty much screwed for English. Just in general. And should be doing that instead of this. But, ehh.
*Mr Peck likes Tim Minchin. =SS Why must he make me like him? He is not a good person =(
*Ms Schultz makes me feel cared about =) She was all nice and everything to me today when I was sorta freaking out
*English just generally makes me want to cry
*Me and my train people totally gossiped about every teacher in our school today =DD
*My puppy dog had an operation yesterday, and has stitches and stuff, but he'll be okayy.
*Our whole grade pretty much hates their half yearly timetables.
*I just feel tired. I think this long weekend will be very good for me. I look forward to sleep and chocolate. And the easter show with my people =)
*Today is April Fools and everyone was too stressy to notice =L
*Me and Amy stalked Mr Robson for his email =DD Plus I have all my teachers except Dillon's
*Pitt told us about this cool science thingo that I don't think I can go to because I'm going to Tasmania.
*The dragons play tomorrow and this game may determine my happiness for the week :L:L Seriously! We're top of the table!! =D
*I've been listening to a lot of music lately, it makes me happy.
*I keep feeling like studying. Like at the station today, I totally cracked and opened a book :L

Holidays

I am genuinely surprised that I had the patience to navigate all the way to a page for a new blog post because oh my gosh the Internet has never been slower due to my silly mother downloading an entire season of Men In Trees at once and DEVOURING any remnants of downloads we may have left.

But I'm going on holidays tomorrow anyway so when I come back I shall have Internetage.

I'm going to Callala Beach which is about 2 hours down. We're taking the doggie as there is a dog beach not too far away. Please miss me lots xD

Today, I made a chocolate cake.
And I KNOW I have a new years resolution about less junk food but I swear! I'm doing so well. I deserve a treat. =} And there's some cream in the fridge that I can whip to ice it with so that it doesn't go off whilst we're on holidays. Haha, that's actually not a bad excuse.

Oh, and my sister got her Ps yesterday, so now she's all awesome. And she appointed me as her personal navigator but I got her lost already :L:L. It's not MY fault it was a no right turn and we had to keep driving and end up in the never never. I think I did quite well, considering.

Anyways, that's all I have to say. I will miss you all. But not this sssllllooooowwww Internet. Be good and stay safe (unless you're May Lyn, and then you stay stafe.)
Live long, and prosper.

Honestly, will you miss 2009: yeah, i will, i actually really liked that year, i think... a lot of myself changed. i actually grew up a lot. which still terrifies me. but at t he same time, i feel... responsible. and it's pretty cool.

Happy Today!

It's finally here.
2010.
It's so... big, and scary.
And I think, something's meant to be different.
But it doesn't feel any different.
I'm just as scared and confused about everything.
And a list of stupid resolutions aren't going to change anything.
And I've already broken the nailbiting one. At about 1 o'clock this morning.

---

And... I miss my family.
No one's ever around. Between work, and visiting my grandfather, and making plans... we just don't see each other. And now whenever we do see each other, we all tell each other off. (Although I did lose $75)
I think I'll enjoy our holiday in a few days.
Simply because there will be no distractions, we'll get to be us. The whole time.
...that will be nice.

---

I told you I was scared. And you comforted me. You told me I didn't have to be scared. You told me that sometimes I should just give in, and do what I want. But that's even scarier. And this is something that has been scaring and confusing me since we started joking about your birthday. And I haven't told you, but I feel like if I don't give in, I'll disappoint you too much. And I always disappoint you. And I'm sick of it. And I wish I could make you happy without everyone in the world thinking differently of me. And usually, I can. But sometimes...

Awesomeness.

I'm back from my trip to Orange.
If anyone cares.
Wait, what's that? You don't? I think I might tell you anyway so :P.
Anyways, it was pretty cool, they have nice coffee and i visited (the graves of) my great-great-great-grandparents (2 sets) and introduced myself. I'm sure they'd like me if they met me.
But being a cemetary it was kinda creepy being there and seeing all these lives that once were. And animals kept moving and making noises and it FREAKED THE CRAP OUTTA ME.
But yeah, I met relatives. Yippee.

---

Oh, and by the way, you must go and check out this awesomelyful blog (it's about time I introduced you guys to a website). There was a really nice post a few days ago, so I'll link you to that. *searches*
To be inspired by awesomeness, please click on me.

---

And now, I rant.
Please ignore the remainder of this blog.

---

It's just gotten to the point where I get hurt everytime I talk to you.
I don't really get why.
I feel like we've hit a wall.
And in order to go through it. I have to get over myself.
And that's just gonna take a little time.

See, I still have this idea that everything in my life is supposed to turn out all sugarcoated and sunshiney. And that people aren't supposed to get hurt, because that's not the way it works. I think I have to get around that idea before I can be satisfied with anything in my life.

Until then, you can just hurt me.

---

I want you to know that I cried myself to sleep everynight this weekend because of you.
Because you don't understand me and I'm starting to doubt if you ever will.
I don't mean half the things I say, you know.
I'm just so confused right now, and I thought that you could understand that.
But you don't.
You never do.
And I'm not going to explain it to you.
Yes, I'm embarrassed by myself.
Shit happens.

---

I'm sorry I've been a complete arsehole lately.
I've actually been an arsehole mainly to you, and I'm sorry about that.
I know you don't deserve it. No one does.
And I'm trying to figure out a way to make it up to you.
But I can't think of anything.
I'll try and work it out though.

Updates

Charlie has a virus.
As in, more than one.
So he's going to get put down.
And Mr Computer Man is building me another computer.
That is like, absolutely amazingful.
And it's XP, because he says that's better than 7 (anything other than vista is fine by me)
Poor Charlie. He's always been such a good computer.
...Actually, he's always been a pain in the arse.
So this could be a change for the better!

And today, I am going shopping.
An agony all in itself.
But my sister told me we have to spend a day together this holidays, and we have to spend our money.
So Mac Square, here we come!
And mum gave me $50 to spend. Indeed. Wow.

Oh, and I tried on my sister's dress yesterday.
The one I'm wearing to the formal.
And, well, it's a bit shorter on me than it is on her =S
And I don't like anything above my knees.
But then, I can't be bothered to buy one.
And I don't wanna make mum make one like she did for Nikki.
So maybe I can do something with it...

Okaay, well I should go now.
I'm just blogging because I'm bored and no one's online.
But it's ok, no one reads my blog anyway :L

Wish you were here,

The Bedroom Door

I guess when they tell you that you've made your bed and now you have to lay in it, they never mentioned that you don't get any second chances. They don't tell you that you're stuck with that bed for life, and every single crease, every single mistake, and every single choice you make about how many pillows, and which stuffed toys you want, you have those choices for life. Everyday you can fix some creases in the bed, but whilst doing that, you crease more of it. And it's never going to sit quite right, and you're never going to want to sleep in it.

And you can choose not to sleep in it you want, you can walk right out of the room. But it's a one way ticket, and as soon as you leave, you'ree not allowed back anymore. So I sit on the edge of doorway, like I used to when I was sent my room. I sit as close to the door as possible, and sometimes i put a toe over that line. And no one knows, no one cares, but I feel incredibly free.

And now I'm sitting here, on the edge of the bedroom door. And all I want to do is run out, to leave everyone in my life behind, and run, with you, forever. And I never want to turn around and look back at this bedroom door. There is so much pain in this room, in this life. And I can't bear the hurt it takes to look around me and remember. So one day, I am going to run.

But until then, I'm forever sitting as my bedroom door.

Back to school.

This is it.
The end of the holidays.
No more.
(Yes, I've decided to write this at the last possible opportunity)

And I've spent my time well this holidays (unlike nina)

I did, not quite half of the homework I wanted to. (Well, I did two thirds if you don't include AG assignment [which, of course, I won't])
I spent ++ time with my family. Going to city, radom places for birthdays, and working heaps with Nikki/Mum.
I spent ++++ time on MSN. I'm just cool like that.
I slept enough. Well, not really, but almost.
I spent 3 days moping around being sad and lonely :L
I actually played with my Sims. For the first time in forever.

And I've nearly caught up to that day that I missed blogging. Well, if I blog this afternoon I will have.
So yeah, yay for holidays!

Humdizzles.
I should go to school... soon.
But the sooner I get up, the sooner I get to school, the sooner I have double P.E. And that is just not worth the risk.

Hmm, WOULD put lyrics here, but can't be bothered to write them out.
So I guess this is it then.
And then back to school.
Can't wait!!!

Procrastination Extraordinaire

There are many things seriously wrong with me.

:L Acceptance is the first step (Y)

1. I can't seem to spend money. Other than on food. I don't like buying stuff. Today I went shopping, and decided that I needed to spend money on myself. And it took me half an hour to find something. Admittedly, I spent most of that half hour keeping my sister away from shoe shops, but still. Eventually, I bought myself a honey jade necklace, that will bring me happiness and joy <33.

2. I am awfully ungrateful about a lot of things. I mean, I whinge and whinge about problems that I only have because I'm so lucky. And then people I'm whinging too, they are actually sympathetic, that's how awesome everyone I know is. And I'm still ungrateful about it.

3. This sounds retarded (unless you know me really well), but I have self esteem issues. I'm not gonna go into that, because no on will believe me anyways, but yeah.

4. I am addicted to my computer. More than I should be. I have a lot of websites that I visit religiously, every day, some multiple times. Things like smithteens, blogger, gmh, operation beautiful, postsecret. I'm just addicted.

5. I have a really tiny attention span. I've been writing this blog for 30 minutes now. I SHOULD be doing my speech. And I am. Between writing this and talking to people and reading memoirs, and listening to music.

OK, that's all I can be bothered to write. Because, well, I REALLY should be doing the English assignment. And I have done a lot. As in, more than two sentences. I just have paragraphs that merely say "something something propaganda something something" but it's a START.

Ciao, everybody. I shall write again eventually.

Wish you were here,

Mum's Birthday

Yesterday was my Mummys awesome birthday.
Yippee!
Except she was in a crappy mood for about half of the day.
So she played on her computer.
And I played on mine.
And Nikki played on hers.
And Dad just shook his head in disgust =D

Anyways, we had an awesomely awesome dinner at this chinese restaurant where the people actually know us. Not that we go there all that often.
I mean, when we came back from holidays and our fridge had broken and the whole house smelt like off food, where did we go? Exactly. But that is understandable. I mean, it smelt awful!

So yeah, yay for Mum's birthday!

Now I should get back to my english speech.
WHAT THE HELL IS LITERARY MERIT???
dgjhvtnhkf.
Ok, I'm really going now...

Sundayness.

Because I'm lame and lonely (in that order), I'm going to tell you about my day.

I washed my dog today. In my shower.
Yeah, I'm not even kidding.
I then had to wash my shower.
But, it's too cold to just hose him (which is what we normally do) (again, not even kidding)
So yeah, now hes clean, pretty smelling, and fluffy.

We only convinced him to get in the shower by telling him that all the girl doggies will love him now :L. Which is true.

Then I walked up to the shops with Dad, Nikki and Toffee (smelling all clean). And we bought a salad and some vegies. And that was our lunch. No kidding. I actually like healthy food. Really.

I backed up my computer onto my Mum's external harddrive. Which took 6 hours, 45 minutes, and 36 seconds (or so). And made everything else I've done all day on my computer go really slowly.

I kicked my sister's arse at SingStar. Because, well, I am awesome. (Ok, so she beat me once. But we sung about 30 songs. So that's still arse kicking). By the end of it, our voices were totally screwed. Really. I couldn't even talk (shock horror!!!)

I blogged. (I'm going back in time a bit now) It took over 2 hours. But I had breakfast inamongst that. And, well, let's face it, nothing else to do. (Oh yes, life is simply tragic).

And I read other peoples' blogs, and caught up on memoirs.
Speaking of which, today is couldabeenacomet's birthday!!!
(I'm sure I've told you guys enough about her)
She's 18. Woot!

And now I'm going to my grandmother's house for dinner. Because it is my mum's birthday on Friday, and this is our only available opportunity to see them.

So yes. Yay for Sundayness. And noo for not working, (because we all love time and a half). (speaking of sundayness, check out postsecret)

(Clearly, boredom has hit an all time high [although I have a speech and ag assingment to do {not that I can do it until CORINNE picks a topic}])

Wish you were here,
