Dad woke us up to see if we wanted to go to a witch festival with him but we were too tired so we just kept sleeping. I woke up at around 11 and blogged, showered, ate breakfast, called Damian.
We went out to lunch at dad’s uncle’s house and that was really awesome. It was kind of a goodbye lunch to us from everyone at Ayegui. The lunch was really good, and afterwards dad’s cousin pulled out an old photo album with pictures of him last time he visited (twenty four years ago) and yeah, he was adorably cute. Also, a few of dad’s uncles started singing after lunch like they always do and that was fantastic.
After that, we went on a little trip up a nearby mountain to see the view of Ayegui and some neighbouring towns, it was fantastic. Iker rode his bike up the mountain but got tired halfway and jumped in someone’s boot, with the boot open, dragging his bike on the floor the whole way. Only in Spain :)
After that, we visited the wine museum briefly, and then went back to Jose’s to pack our stuff and say goodbye to everyone before going back to Pamplona.
Even though it had only been a few days, I missed Eli and Montxo like crazy and gave them a zillion hugs when I saw them. It was our last meal with them too, so it was really special and we ate tim tams afterwards and everything was fantastic. Except Inigo doesn’t like chocolate and wouldn’t eat it no matter what I did, crazy child.
After that, Nikki and I hung out with Inigo for a bit because I wouldn’t let him to go to bed and I hugged him over and over again and then we said goodbye for a few years and I gave him a koala and he went crazy over how cute it was and then we all went to sleep. Bittersweet.
