Day ten

Woke up, got ready, and had an amazing breakfast at the restaurant we went to for dinner last night (which I forgot to mention). Breakfast was: eggs, potatoes, sausages, bacon, bread, fried tomatoes, mushrooms, orange juice and coffee. After that we got all our luggage together and went to the train station with Blanca, who caught the train with us to the national train station and waited for our train with us. Then we got on the train to Pamplona. Long train ride but beautiful country side, and on the train they had gluten free, lactose free muffins, what is this?! Eventually we got to Pamplona, and were greeted by twenty of our family members of various ages.
We stayed there talking to them all (by “we” talking I mean dad, and us listening) for about an hour before Eli (dad’s cousin that we’re staying with) decided it was time for us to leave. So we packed our suitcases into their massive car (it has buttons to open and close the doors, it’s amazing) and headed to their place. When we got here we met our second cousins, Inigo and Diego, who were too shy to talk to us at first, and mainly conversed with dad. Also, this house is completely amazing, it’s kind of a four storey townhouse, but each level is massive, and the second level has a courtyard and an outside eating area. So Eli gave us a tour and made us a fantastic lunch of salad and fish and all these wonderful things, before we decided to go shopping for clothes for San Fermin (which I had, because I’m prepared, but dad and Nikki aren’t).
In Pamplona, we looked for an Australian pub to watch origin from, but sadly couldn’t find one. Decided to pay $10 to stream it live internationally :) After wondering around Pamplona for a bit, we went back home, where Eli cooked a beautiful Spanish omelette and her parents came over and we all had a glorious meal outside. I'm doing pretty well with the Spanish... I understand about 75% of the things they say, but I could only reply in Spanish about 1% of the time. But dad and Inigo were pretty happy to translate to Eli and Montxo so I managed. I wonder how the rest of the holiday will go....
I was too tired to blog after that, don’t hate me.
Next blog might take a while too…
